Cosmic Wander ("the game") is a calm space flight game: fly a small spaceship through hand-made star systems, or sit back and let it fly itself. This policy explains what the game keeps on your device and what it sends elsewhere. The short version: it sends nothing. The game does not connect to the internet while you play.
Who the game is for
Cosmic Wander is a quiet game for anyone who wants a sky to look at. It is free. It has no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no chat and no way to contact anyone from inside it.
What the game stores on your device
- Places you have found: a list of the planets, fields and other spots you have flown close to, so they are not announced as new a second time.
- Postcards: up to 24 framed pictures of the view that you chose to save, each with the star system's name, the creature or place in shot and the date. Pictures are of the game world only.
- Music on or off.
- A graphics setting: the quality level that ran smoothly last time, so the game starts at a good level next time. It is saved next to a short description of the device's graphics chip, whether the screen is a touch screen, and the screen size, so a different device does not reuse the wrong level. This is used only on the device to choose the picture quality.
All of it is saved in the game's own private storage on the device.
What we collect
Nothing. The developer does not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal information or usage data.
- The game sends nothing over the internet. Its pictures, music and everything else it needs are inside the app.
- There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising software.
- The game does not use the microphone, camera, location or contacts, and does not ask for your name, age or email address.
- Controllers and touch are read only to fly the ship and are not recorded.
Saving a postcard as a picture
When you open a postcard you can tap "Save picture". This saves a copy of that one picture to your device as an image file. The game does not send it anywhere. The copy is yours, and it stays on your device after the game is removed until you delete it yourself. If you share it from your device, the app or service you share it with has its own privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting your data
Everything stays on the device until you delete it.
- Each postcard can be removed in the album (tap Remove, then tap again to confirm).
- Music can be turned on or off at any time.
- Uninstalling the game deletes everything it stored. Because nobody else has a copy, nothing can be recovered afterwards, and there is nothing for the developer to delete on request.
Children's privacy
The game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It shows no ads, offers no purchases, has no social features and does not open websites.
Purchases
At launch the game is free and has no in-app purchases. If a purchase is added later, this policy will be updated first and will say what the store handles for that purchase.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
