Quran Word Garden ("the app") is a reading app for a child and a grown-up: the most frequent words of the Quran, with their meaning in Urdu or English. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device and what it sends elsewhere. The short version: it sends nothing. There is no internet access in the app at all.
Who the app is for
Quran Word Garden is made for young children learning with a parent or teacher. Settings sit behind a sum meant for grown-ups, and lock again when you leave them. The app has no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no sound recording, no links to the web and no way to contact anyone from inside it.
What the app stores on your device
- A first name or nickname for the child, typed by a grown-up at first launch (up to 20 characters). It is shown as text on the home screen and is never spoken aloud or sent anywhere.
- The language you chose for the interface, meanings and translations (Urdu or English).
- Learning progress: which lessons are finished, which words have been answered correctly and when they are due for review, and a short log of recent practice sessions (the day, the number of questions and the number right).
- Settings: review length and reduced motion.
All of it is saved in the app's own private storage on the device. The app is kept out of Android cloud backups and phone-to-phone transfer, so nothing is copied to Google Drive or a new phone.
What we collect
Nothing. The developer does not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal information or usage data, from children or from adults.
- The app asks for no Android permissions at all. It has no permission to use the internet, so it cannot send or fetch anything. All words, verses, translations, pictures and fonts are inside the app.
- There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising software.
- The app does not use the microphone, camera or location, does not ask for the child's age, date of birth, photo or contacts, and does not read the device's identifiers.
Keeping and deleting your data
Everything stays on the device until you delete it.
- A grown-up can change the child's name or the language at any time under "For grown-ups".
- "Clear progress" (under "For grown-ups") removes lessons and progress and keeps the name.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything the app stored. Because nobody else has a copy, nothing can be recovered afterwards, and there is nothing for the developer to delete on request.
Children's privacy
The app is designed for children and follows the Google Play Families policy. It does not collect personal information from children (or anyone else), does not show ads, does not offer purchases, has no social features, and cannot open websites. A parent or guardian with questions can contact the developer at the address below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
