Times Tables Castle
A few calm minutes of times tables practice a day, with a castle that lights up as facts stick.
Times Tables Castle is a short daily practice for a primary school child. Each table gets a one-minute lesson, then practice brings facts back on the days they are due.
What it does
- Today's practice takes about 3, 5 or 8 minutes. Once it is done, the app says so and the facts are ready again tomorrow. No streaks and no loss messages.
- Learn: see each fact as rows and columns, turn it round (3 x 4 becomes 4 x 3, same number) and learn the trick for that table.
- Kind feedback and no failure sound. A missed fact shows its picture, the child types the answer, and it comes back a little later.
- Show me a way: builds the answer from a fact the child already knows, such as doubling a fact they have.
- A fact counts as mastered once it is answered correctly and quickly on 3 different days.
- My castle: one tower per table. Quick facts make a window glow and mastered facts make it shine. No leaderboards.
- Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 settings, the 11s and 12s in Year 4, and division facts for the 3s, 4s and 8s.
- Practise the check (off by default): a rehearsal of the Year 4 multiplication tables check, with no pass mark.
- For grown-ups: progress table by table, the facts to help with, and a setting to match the table the class is on this week.
- Sound off, a plain extra-spaced font, high contrast and less movement. Large tap targets and keyboard support.
- Works offline. No network calls, no accounts, no tracking. The child's name stays on the device and is never spoken.
